Usage

Ammonium Chloride have different usages with different grades. More pure ammonium chloride is prepared for more specific fields of application. Most important of those is as electrolyte in dry cell batteries where ammonium chloride is used because it is an ionic compound. Ammonium Chloride can react with metal oxides and form volatile chlorides, something that is used in mordant and fluxes to obtain clean and dry surfaces before dying or coating. Ammonium Chloride is used in etching in manufacture of printed circuits, as a fire extinguisher, an agent for drilling Oil Wells and as a curing agent in formaldehyde-based adhesives. Ammonium chloride is used in the textile and leather industry in dyeing, tanning, textile printing and to lustre cotton.

A principal use of ammonium chloride has been as a fluxing agent for Hot Dip Galvanizing & Top Flux Galvanizing of steel and in the refining of zinc. Ammonium Chloride provides fluxing action by reacting with molten zinc to form a stable melt containing zinc chloride and ammonium chloride. The main application of ammonium chloride is as a nitrogen source in fertilizers. It is used as it is or in compound fertilizer. Although it is better known as rice fertilizer, it has been tested and used on other crops like wheat, barley, sugarcane, maize, fibre crops etc. Of particular note is its use on palms; increasing the yield of Copra per tree. This makes it useful in food, above all it is popular in sweets (salt liquorice). Such pure salt is also used in pharmaceuticals, as the substance is expectorant. By its many varied fields of application, ammonium chloride is a widely used substance.

Usage

Sodium Bicarbonate have different usages with different grades. Used as food fermentation, detergent ingredient, carbon dioxide foamer, pharmacy, leather, ore milling and metallurgy, detergent for wool, extinguisher and metal heat-treating, fibre and rubber industry, etc.

Sodium bicarbonate is used in a process for cleaning paint called soda blasting. It can be administered to pools, spas, and garden ponds to raise pH levels. It can be used to extinguish small grease or electrical fires by being thrown over the fire. It is used in BC dry chemical fire extinguishers. It is used as a bio pesticideas an effective way of controlling fungus growth. A paste from baking soda can be very effective when used in cleaning and scrubbing. It is commonly added to washing machines as a replacement for softener and to remove odours from clothes. Sodium bicarbonate is also effective in removing heavy tea and coffee stains from cups when diluted with warm water.

GLYCERINE

Glycerine (also known as glycerol, glycerin) is a simple polyol compound. It is a sweet-tasting & low toxicity & is colourless and odourless. It becomes a gummy paste when frozen, although freezing it can only be achieved at very low temperatures. It is miscible in water and alcohol. However, it does not mix with oil. It is an excellent solvent. In fact, there are substances that dissolve better in glycerol than in water or alcohol.

Usage

Glycerinehave different usages with different grades. Mainly used as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication and as a humectant. Widelyused in Paint Industry, Paper Industry as cellophane and coated paper, Textile Printing & Dyeing, Printing Industry, Detergent, Antifreeze agent in Automobile and Mechanical Industry, Chemical intermediate, Food industry, Botanical extracts, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care applications, etc.

Glycerol is a component of glycerine & moisturizing soap. Also used in some printing inks, in cake and candy making, conserving preserved fruit, as a base for lotions (because it has an antiseptic quality). Used to prevent freezing in hydraulic jacks, to lubricate moulds. One most important property of glycerine is that is not poisonous and this is the reason it is widely used.
